DUO RIDE: / Pacdal \ Ambuklao (Out and Back) *Aboitiz Hydro Plant side

Jump-off point at Pacdal church. First time to do the route with someone else. Enrico on a mountain bike

Pre-climb before the main climb (???) feels more like a main climb.

Peak reached, then a steady descent all the way down to the town near the dam.






Last stretch is a descent that goes for about 2km with the road entirely in view.  We must've hit 70kph.

Fork in the road, not sure which way to pass. We go left, towards the Aboitiz Hydro Plant.

Turns out, left takes us to an off-road climb. Mountain bike: 1, Tri-bike: 0.

Last 1k climb along a treeless road at high noon, sucks.

We finally reach the dam!




After taking a bunch of photos and videos, we head back the opposite way but not before stopping for a quick snack.  Boiled egg, suman, coke.

Right before the climb, we take a dip in the river. The water is not entirely refreshing because it's warm.  Theres also a bit of funk to it, maybe because we're downstream from a large group of people cooling down for the summer.

Play time over, now we get to the inevitable.

SAG practically overheats from going too slow.



So much climbing. Mountain: 2, Bikes: 0.

Enrico gets delirious and decides to call his future son, "Kennon."

Final descent. Back in time for early dinner.

10 hours on the saddle! A lot easier (physically, mentally, and emotionally) when doing the route with someone else. Thank you kabsat!
